Why I Love Denver

Biking along the Platte River

I just returned from a 4-day trip to visit my childhood friend in Denver. It was my second time visiting, and I loved the city just as much as I did the first time. Here are the reasons why I love Denver:

1. Biking along the Platte River – A great ride that is mostly flat, so it’s not super challenging. There are self-serve bikes to rent at various spots throughout the city — you can rent from one spot and drop off at another.

2. River tubing in Boulder Creek (Boulder, CO) – SO much fun, and it’s packed with friendly people, from drunk college kids to families. Only about 45 minutes from Denver.

3. Fit and friendly people with dogs- It seems like literally EVERYONE in Denver is healthy and active, and therefore just a much happier crowd than here in NYC. It also seems like everyone has a dog! ❤

4. Beautiful views – No matter where you’re driving to/from in the Denver area, there are almost always great mountain or downtown views.

I’ve only been to Denver in the summertime, so I can’t comment on the cold weather or skiing. I’m heading back next summer for my friend’s wedding — can’t wait! 🙂
